Imam Al Razi in his Tafsir Al Kabir about the Hand of Allah (SWT)
(He is rejecting those who called that the Hand of Allah is a physical organ like humans)
The evidence for this is that a body is inseparable from movement and stillness, which are new, and anything that is inseparable from the new is new, and because every body is infinite in size, and whatever is infinite in size is new, and whatever is infinite in size is new, and whatever is infinite in size is new And because every body is composed of parts, and everything that is so is susceptible to composition and dissolution, and everything that is so requires something to compose and synthesise it, and everything that is so is a novelty, thus proving in these ways that it is impossible for Him to be a body, so it is impossible for His hand to be a bodily member. As for the majority of monotheists, they have two opinions regarding the word hand: First: The statement of those who say: When the Qur'an proves that God's hand is a hand, we believe in it, and when reason proves that it is impossible for God's hand to be an expression of a specific body and a complex organ of parts and parts, we believe in it, but as for what the hand is and what its reality is, we have entrusted the knowledge of it to God the Exalted, and this is the way of the Salaf.
