Saying of Imam Shafi (rh)

"Every good thing for the Muslim is through the sake of Rasool Allah (SAW) and whatever bad does not befall us is also by his (SAW) grace."

قال امام الشافعي:

"كل خير للمسلم هو بفضل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وكل شر لا يصيبنا فهو أيضًا ببركته عليه الصلاة والسلام."

Shaykh Al Islam Ibn Qayyim (RA) said: "A large heart can contain great knowledge just as a large valley can hold a large amount of water; and a small heart can contain knowledge only in proportion to its capacity, just as a small valley holds a small amount of water. The valleys flow according to their size, and hearts receive guidance and knowledge according to their capacity. Just as when the floodwater mixes with the earth and passes over it, it carries with it chaff and foam, so too does guidance and knowledge, when mixed with the hearts, stir up the desires and doubts therein to uproot and remove them. This is like medicine which, when drunk, stirs up the humors (akhlaṭ) of the body, causing the drinker to feel discomfort for a while."

Hashashin (The Assassins from the Ismaili Sect or The guys on whom the Assassins Creed game is based on)

The word "assassin" is actually derived from the Hashashin, and because of them, this word came into existence. They were Isma'il Nizari Shia, the followers of Hasan Sabbah. That group was founded in Alamut before the start of the 11th century. Even during the time of Saladin Ayubi (rh), they tried to hold him back at times. I have read a saying of Marco Polo about these Hashashin: "The Old Man of the Mountain ruled his followers with a cunning unmatched in all the lands, by drugging them and promising them paradise. Then the Old Man of the Mountain would bring his young men into a paradise of beautiful gardens, flowing wine, and enchanting maidens, convincing them it was heaven. They were promised a return to this paradise if they carried out his orders, and killing themselves for him was his way of telling them that they would go to this paradise forever."
