Ahadith on the Virtues of Sending Salawat upon the Prophet (S) on Friday.
Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaybah narrated to us, Al-Husayn ibn Ali narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid ibn Jabir, from Abu al-Ash'ath al-San'ani, from Shaddad ibn Aws, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "Indeed, among the best of your days is Friday; on it, Adam was created, on it is the blowing of the trumpet, and on it is the swoon. So increase your prayers upon me on it, for your prayers are presented to me." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, how are our prayers presented to you when you have decayed?" He said, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets."
(Ibn Majah 1085)
On the authority of Aws ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Among the best of your days is Friday, so increase your prayers upon me on that day; for your prayers are presented to me."
(Sunan Abi Dawud 1531, Ibn Majah 1636, Sunan Al Kubara of An Nasa'i 1666)
The Prophet ﷺ: "Whoever sends blessings upon me in a book, the angels will continue to seek forgiveness as long as my name remains in that book."
Narrated by Abu Huraira (1).
The Prophet ﷺ: "Whoever sends blessings upon me at my grave, I hear him, and whoever sends blessings upon me from afar, it is conveyed to me."
Narrated by Abu Huraira (2).
The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me at my grave, I hear him, and whoever sends blessings upon me from afar, an angel is appointed to convey it to me, and it suffices for his worldly and hereafter affairs, and I will be a witness or an intercessor for him."
Hib, and Al-Khatib from Abu Huraira (3).
The Prophet (S) said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me on Friday, it will be an intercession for him with me on the Day of Resurrection."
Al-Daylami from Aisha (SA).
Narrated by Abu Abdullah Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Hafiz, in Nishapur, from Muhammad bin Abi Mu'adh from his father, from Ibrahim bin Adham, from Muhammad bin Ajlan, from Ali bin Al-Husayn, from his father, from Ali bin Abi Talib, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever sends blessings upon me one hundred times on Friday will come on the Day of Resurrection with a light that, if distributed among all creation, would suffice them."
(Hilayat Awliya)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever sends blessings upon me one hundred times on Friday and the night of Friday, Allah will fulfill one hundred needs for him: seventy of the needs of the Hereafter and thirty of the needs of this world. Allah appoints an angel to deliver it to my grave just as gifts are delivered to one of you. My knowledge after my death is like my knowledge during my life."
(Al-Daylami from Hakama from her father Uthman bin Dinar from his brother Malik bin Dinar from Anas)."
Also narrated by: Al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman (3/111, No. 3035).
This is a Sahih Hadith and the best one about the Prophet (S) still having the same knowledge which Allah (SWT) granted him during his blessed life.
Imam Ibn Al Qayyim (rh) said:
"The second characteristic: It is recommended to frequently send blessings upon the Prophet - peace be upon him - on this day and its night, for he said: "Increase your prayers upon me on Friday and the night of Friday".
The Messenger of Allah - peace be upon him - is the master of mankind, and Friday is the master of days. Therefore, sending prayers upon him on this day has a special merit not found on other days. Another wisdom is that every good his nation received in this world and the hereafter was through him, as Allah combined for his nation the good of this world and the hereafter through him. The greatest honor they receive will occur on Friday, as it is the day they are sent to their homes and palaces in paradise, and it is the day of increase for them when they enter paradise. It is a holiday for them in this world, and a day when Allah Almighty fulfills their requests and needs, and does not turn away their supplications. All of this was known and achieved because of him and through him. Therefore, out of gratitude, praise, and fulfilling a small part of his due right of him- ﷺ - it is encouraged to frequently send prayers upon him on this day and its night."
